Studio Session | Feminist Art: Judy Chicago

  • ArtsClub DC 1506 19th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

“I set my sights upon becoming the kind of artist who would make a contribution to art history.”
- Judy Chicago

Judy Chicago is a contemporary feminist art, best known for her installation at the Brooklyn Museum, The Dinner Party, which features 39 elaborate place settings designed for celebrated women, including Georgia O'Keeffe, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, Virginia Woolf and others. Learn about this epic masterpiece and create your own painted plate to represent your place at the table. In keeping with Judy Chicago’s salon traditions, we’ll be sharing our own ideas on feminism, creativity and our personal female heroes as we create our plates.

Tickets include art history lesson & all art materials.
