Helen Frankenthaler was an American Abstract Expressionist painter best known for her revolutionary “soak stain” technique. During this event, learn about Frankenthaler’s life, her painting career (which spanned over half a century!), and her lasting contributions to modern art. Then, create your own calming pastel composition using unprimed canvases, diluted acrylic paint, and sponges.
