Studio Session | Feminist Art: Georgia O'Keeffe

  • ArtsClub DC 1506 19th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

“My painting is what I have to give back to the world for what the world gives to me."
- Georgia O’Keeffe

Georgia O'Keeffe's striking paintings of flowers and bones against the desert sky are powerful reminders to appreciate the beauty in the small and often overlooked things, even during the most chaotic times. She paved the way as the foremother of the feminist art movement and holds the record for the most expensive work ever sold by a female artist.

Learn about the inspiration behind O'Keeffe's work and create your own paintings of flowers and/ or skulls. Real flowers and props will be provided for inspiration.

Ticket includes lesson and all art materials. Coveralls/ smocks will be provided to protect your clothing.
