Studio Session | Frida Kahlo

  • ArtsClub 1506 19th Street Northwest, 4th Floor (walk-up) Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.”
- Frida Kahlo

Explore the art of self-expression in this inspiring workshop where you’ll create your own self-portrait, drawing inspiration from the bold, personal, and deeply symbolic works of Frida Kahlo. After a beginner-friendly lecture on Kahlo’s biography and art practice, ArtsClub staff will provide props to help you create a meaningful self-portrait.

Taught by PhDs, subject matter experts and professional artists. All art supplies are included.

This Studio Session is part of the Feminist Art Studio Series. Sign up for a single class or for the entire series here.
