Dupont Studio Session | Abstract Expressionism: Jackson Pollock

  • ArtsClub DC 1506 19th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

"New needs need new techniques. And the modern artists have found new ways and new means of making their statements ... the modern painter cannot express this age, the airplane, the atom bomb, the radio, in the old forms of the Renaissance or of any other past culture." - Jackson Pollock

Ever look at a Pollock painting and wonder if you could create something similar? Now is your chance to try.

During this event, you'll learn the story behind the invention and development of Jackson Pollock's signature style of drip painting. Then ArtsClub's instructors will guide you through the process of creating your own paintings using the same materials and techniques that Pollock used for his original works.

Art supplies and coveralls to protect your clothing are provided.
