Dupont Studio Session | Abstract Expressionism: Lee Krasner

  • ArtsClub DC 1506 19th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

“I have regards for the inner voice.” -Lee Krasner

Lee Krasner was an abstract, gestural, and expressive painter who was born in Brooklyn and spent a great deal of her early career living and working in the East Village (she is known as one of the “Ninth Street Women”). Her career was marked by an ever changing style as she refused to adopt a singular, recognizable method. Though often overshadowed by her husband Jackson Pollock, she had a rich and prolific art career of her own and is often credited with maintaining Pollock’s art world connections, getting his work sold, and organizing his estate. Learn more about this pillar of the Abstract Expressionist movement and create a unique work in her style.

Ticket includes lesson and all art materials.
